NDS Furniture is a distinguished brand specializing in the design and manufacture of bespoke solid wood and metal furniture. Committed to sustainability and craftsmanship, NDS Furniture sets itself apart by prioritizing using reclaimed wood and eco-friendly materials. Every piece of furniture is crafted with precision, using 100% organic polishes to highlight the unique character of the wood, while the incorporation of metal elements adds both durability and modern aesthetics. By blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, NDS Furniture offers tailor made solutions that embody quality, environmental responsibility, and timeless style.

The inception of the product design vertical at Soch was motivated by the challenges encountered while sourcing loose furniture from third-party vendors, which often lacked quality and functionality. Consequently, after meticulous efforts to gather skilled artisans and setting up a workshop space, the product design vertical was launched in September 2022, with a vision of providing aesthetically pleasing, ergonomic, and high-quality products that embody a keen attention to detail. This is in line with Soch's overarching goal of delivering creative, functional, and architecturally appealing products to its customers.

This journey started with a thought - What if metal could fold like paper?
Inspired by the art of origami, ORI was born from the vision to transform rigid metal into elegant, purposeful forms. Years of experimentation led to a breakthrough: precise perforations that allow metal to fold — without losing its strength.
Each ORI piece is handfolded to exacting precision, a quiet dialogue between human craftsmanship and advanced engineering.
The perforations do more than shape — they filter light, casting delicate shadows that make each piece feel alive, almost magical.

We have channelized our strengths towards the ‘distinctiveness’ in our designs while they offer uncompromising comfort to the human form. As a contemporary Indian practice, our hands are deep in the context. Through subtle design decisions, we correspond to how the culture impacts usability and human activities around the furniture. 

In a world of constantly evolving programs and functionality, our pieces are designed to sink into a variety of spaces. Whether it’s to reciprocate the various definitions of a home, a workspace that is definitive of one’s profession or more — our furniture will find a way to belong. As an environmentally conscious practice, we exclusively use reclaimed teakwood, eco friendly finishes and design pieces in a subtle praise of natural materials.

The brand is less about products and more about balancing our interactions with the environment. There exists in our collections an intentional harmony between Italian design aesthetics and Indian production. Having worked in the design field for over 10 years, Shikha Rentala, Marco Grimandi, and Federico Fraternale’s expertise collide to create contextually relevant products. Engineering and technical accuracy are part of our foundational thought, as are historical references and research—our future comes from the past. The brand is also mindful of the pitfalls associated with a product’s life cycle, so our collections are made with the intention to ship easily, benefiting in turn the production, and ultimately, in a very small way, lessening the environmental burden.
